Joke of the Month
It's nice to live in a small town, because if you don't know what you are doing, someone else does.
I read some article which said that the symptoms of stress are impulse buying, eating too much and driving too fast. Are they kidding? That's what I call a perfect day.

Tabusintac Nursing Home Inc.

One of the Nursing Homes in Miramichi sponsors a very successful Senior's Day Care program for Seniors in their community. Their program runs from 8:30 - 4:00 4 days per week. For the Senior, their day starts with coffee and activities, if desired weekly baths are scheduled, dinner and healthy snacks are provided, and they can take part in all the daily activities if they wish. The cost to Seniors is about $47.00 per day, and depending on incomes this cost may be covered by Social Development. We are considering sponsoring a esimilar program for Seniors in our community, provided there would be sufficient interest, and participation levels maintained to cover the cost of sponsoring the program. If you are a Senior or know a Senior who would be interested in participating in such a program, please contact the Administrator, Robert Stewart at 779-4119.

Friends of the Tabusintac Nursing Home Inc.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Tabusintac Co-op Ass'n Ltd. and all its Members who contribute to the 50/50 Lotto. We are currently the recipients of 20% of the total amount collected for the 50/50 Lotto, which since April 2006 has provided us with close to $90,000. We would also like to thank everyone who have made donations directly, or supported our fundraisers, which since April 2006 has also contributed over $22,000. This financial support has enabled us to provide Tabusintac Nursing Home with; a beautiful garden ($48,000) a lovely patio deck ($24,000), a furnished front lounge ($14,000), other Resident furniture ($4.000) a new sound system ($2,000), operational expenses for the Resident Mini-bus ($9,000), plus other items which contribute to enhancing the beauty of the Tabusintac Nursing Home for their Residents. As Government does not provide funding to Nursing Homes for any of these enhancements or services, none of this would have been possible without your generosity and thoughtfulness for the Residents of the Tabusintac Nursing Home. Again, and on behalf of Tabusintac Nursing Home as well, thank you very much for your support. Our main goal now over the next 5 years is to generate funds towards a new replacement mini-bus for Tabusintac Nursing Home, which will cost in the range of $100,000.

Thank You Tabusintac!
Canadian Cancer Society Fall 2011 Campaign
On behalf of all of us volunteers, a heartfelt Thank You to you, the people of Tabusintac, for opening your doors and your hearts to us, and for your very generous donations to the CCS Fall Campaign, which generated a total of $1,165.00. As in previous years, these funds go toward financial assistance/transportation for eligible patients needing treatment outside our area.
This year, we canvassed Route 11, Hierlihy Road, Old Manse Road, and Covedell Road.
A big Thank You to this year's volunteers for their excellent and much appreciated participation Betty Blake, Anna Breau, and Isabelle Stymiest.
I wish to extend a Very Special Thank You to the volunteers who helped so much in past years' campaigns: Norbert Basque, William (Billy) Blake, Isabelle Stymiest, and Betty Blake.
It could not have been done without you, guys. Since I won't have a grand total for the greater Tracadie-Sheila and Tabusintac areas for a while yet, I will give you an update of the funds collected pertaining to the Fall 2011 Campaign in the next /an upcoming Tabby Tattler.
This year is my last as a CCS volunteer/captain. It has been a pleasure seeing you and talking with you. I will never forget your kindness and generosity.
Sincerely,
Rachel Breau
