Important notice:
Tabusintac has a rich and varied history of the place,
the people, and the river. Cherished facts and memories of this unique area have been recorded in the many books and articles
published over time.
The Tabusintac Community Development Corporation Inc. in conjunction with the development of our
lighthouse as an interpretative center is putting together a digital presentation to promote our river. A large flat screen
mounted inside the lighthouse will display information and photos for everyone to enjoy.
We ask anyone who would like
to share photos, or recorded memories of activity on the river with all the visitors to the lighthouse please contact the
following:
Kathleen Murray: 779-4721, e-mail: kelbro@nb.sympatico.ca or
Chris Samson : 776-3727, e-mail: chrissamson@xplornet.com
Submitted materials will be scanned and returned to the owner.
Tabusintac Home & School
A school pageant was held on February 25th in conjunction with Winter
Carnival and a talent show. Congratulations
to all contestants and on a
job well done.
We would like to extend a special thank you to the Caisse Populaire
de
Neguac for their very generous donation of $10,000 to our playground fund.
Because of this donation we were
able to make an announcement to the
school that we will be getting a playground this fall. The students were
very
excited and surprised!
We would also like to thank the LSD for their donation of $625 and
Richelieu Feminin for
their donation of $500. Without the help of these
organizations, we would not have been able to make our announcement
so
quickly.
We are very close to reaching our goal and will be holding a few more
events throughout the
coming months. Our next fundraiser is a bottle
drive on April 17th.
Thank you for your continued support!
