Tabusintac LSD
Summer is looking better with more sun and less rain
and gardens opening.
Our Saturday Market & Breakfasts are also getting busier.
We now have available at your Local Service District office application forms for
Canada Old age pensions,
also passport s in both official languages.
Work is progressing on the Interpretation Centre,
thanks to Federal Funding, but
without any funding from the Province which is needed to complete this project.
Efforts by your LSD to do much needed upgrades to Strait Brook Road are ongoing
with confirmation having been
received from the Department of Transportation Minister
that this is a designated road. However we have not received
the support of our M.L.A.
This holds also holds true for various other projects in which we have requested funding
but has not to date received our M.L.A's support.
We extend a hearty welcome to all our
summer visitors & those of the C.M.A.

Blueberry Trivia
Blueberries contain significant quantities
of both antibacterial and antiviral compounds,
and have a reputation in northern Europe of fighting infections. They
may also help protect against heart disease.
The blueberry is the official berry of Nova Scotia.
The North American Blueberry industry ships more than 100 metric tons of fresh
blueberries each year to Iceland,
and more than 500 metric tons to Japan.
North America produces nearly 90% of world blueberry
production
