The Tabusintac Local Service District
The Tabusintac LSD and the TCDCI committees meet the first and second
Tuesday of each month. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Spring is getting closer with the ground hog seeing his shadow which means
six more weeks of winter.

The TCDCI will be having there Spring Park BBQ on Saturday March 21/09
Keep that in mind.

There are forms available at the Community Centre for heating assistance.
Through the Warm Hearts Homes program.

Well for the legion another year has gone by and we would like to thanks everyone for their support over the last year.
Once again we had our annual meeting and Malcolm Betts once again is our president. Congratulations Malcolm, keep up the good work. The legion members would like to give our sincere sympathy to the family of our fallen veteran, Mr Blair Vye. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Our crib is very successful. If you wish to play please come out on Sundays at 1:00. Everyone is welcome. Darts is again starting and we will be having meat shoot on every second Saturday, Feb 28, Mar 14, Mars 28 $200 per round- 3 rounds each night 8:00 start play. Feb 21/09 dart shoot for the carnival of the Tabusintac Rec council.
March 17- Legion monthly meeting members please come out to show your support.

Recipe of the Month
The Famous Photo Time Lemon Squares
Back by popular demand!

2 cups of flour (a little extra if greasy looking)
1 cup white sugar
1 cup of coconut
1 cup margarine
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 pkg. lemon pie filling
1 tbsp cornstarch

Mix first six ingredients and put a layer on the bottom of a 9x13 pan
And save 1/3 of mixture for top.
Cook 1 package of lemon pie filling with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
Place on bottom layer. Sprinkle top with reserved mixture and cook until golden
at 350 F
Tip: Soften margarine in microwave

ANNUAL MEETING St Andrew's will be having their annual meeting on February 17 at 7:00 pm.

ANNUAL MEETING for the Tabusintac Pastoral Charge will be held Feb. 24th
@ 7:00 pm at St. David's in Burnt Church.

SUN GLASSES St. Andrew's UCW will be collecting new & used sunglasses for the people of Afghanistan. Ferris MacLean will distribute them accordingly. A box will be put in the memorial room if you wish to contribute.
