Tabusintac Local Service
Here
we are at the beginning of a new year. How they fly by.
The last event of 2011 was the Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
We would like to thank everybody who participated and those who came out to take part. In the event. The crowd was small but
festive. Santa as usual was at his best.
This will be an exciting year with our school being announced in the provinces
capital budget, we should see some on site activity going forward this spring. A huge thank you to the committee for their
endless hours of work and total dedication to make this happen. It was a long journey.
We have the Provincial Government
studying and considering reducing the number of Local Service Districts in the province. Our committee will be keeping abreast
of this study to see how it effects our current LSD should this go ahead.
Pearl Breau is our new care taker. She is
the contact person for appointments, scheduling and locking up. You can contact her at 779-9811 or 779-8249. We wish her well!
Our LSD meeting are held on the second Tuesday of each month.
Don't forget those resolutions!!
Your representatives
are Chris Avery, Bill Vye, Fraser McCallum, Reid Wishart and Beno Schaefer.

Jokes
of the Month
In the supermarket was a man pushing a cart which contained a screaming, bellowing baby. The gentleman kept
repeating softly, "Don't get excited, Albert; don't scream, Albert; don't yell, Albert; keep calm, Albert."
A woman standing next to him said, "You certainly are to be commended for trying to soothe your son, Albert."
The man looked at her and said, "Lady, I'm Albert."

In Appreciation
The family of the late "Sarah Desveaux"
would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all of our family and friends for their love and support during the last few
months.
To all the members of the Extra Mural staff, thank you for your kindness and care given to Sarah during
her illness, also to the caregivers for their time spent, without these people Sarah would not have been able to be at home.
Thank you to the Tabusintac Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion for their generosity and assistance in providing her
the use of an electric bed and also to the Ladies of St. Georges Roman Catholic Church for the beautiful lunch served after
the funeral.
Sarah was very grateful for the beautiful quilt made especially for her by the Tabusintac Common Thread
Quilter's Group and for the knitted shawl provided by the Prayer Shawl Group of Immaculate Heart, Riverview, NB. The thoughtfulness
and care that went into these items made this difficult time more comforting to her.
A special thank you to the
surrounding communities of Tabusintac and Neguac for all their generous support, whether it was a card, a kind word or food
brought to the house, we are very grateful for this.
Although there is sadness in our hearts, we are comforted
by the warmth and compassion shown to us by this wonderful community.

Expert Advice You Can Trust!

NB Birding trivia
Winter is a difficult time for birds in New Brunswick.
The weather is often severe and the food supply limited. Most insect-eating birds and many waterbirds migrate south to milder
climates. Those that remain with us or come here from farther north are hardy birds able to withstand cold temperatures, if
they can obtain enough food. Our winter birds survive by feeding on fishes, molluscs, seeds, fruits, the dormant stages of
insects, or small mammals and birds.
Tabusintac Royal Canadian Legion
Well we are all rested up after the holidays and ready to dig into another year.
Our Christmas Memorial
tree was once again a huge success this year and we would like to thank everyone who purchased a bulb and also to the people
who sold the bulbs.
Due to an electrical problem on the day of the lighting that caused damage to our electrical system
we could not keep our tree lit up after the lighting of the tree. Since this the problem has been fixed and we apologize for
the inconvenience this has caused.
Our new executive for 2012-2013 has been elected and we have 3 new members on the
executive. Welcome to Nils Kelly, Sheila Simpson and Darrick Childs. Once again we will work hard for our legion and to satisify
the needs of our community.
